Its first products were plugins for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, but now Topaz has its own standalone editor that works as a host for its plugins. Not perfect by any means, but neither is ~$100-$300 every ~2 years or so for perpetual licenses - YMMV but I'm not one to use the same tool for years on end without upgrading, if I was then a one time purchase every blue moon would make more sense.Topaz Labs develops plugins and standalone software for professional photo editing. ![]() Aside from their photography package pricing, they are over priced, at ~$20/app/month, basically pushing most to the full suite for ~$50/month or whatever they charge today. Would be nice to retain full functionality at whatever moment one stops paying (just stop getting upgrades), but sadly adobe doesn't do that.
